Returns and refunds
What happens when a print arrives damaged, wrong, or not at all.
In short
Anything that arrives damaged or wrong is reprinted or refunded: write within 14 days with a photo. Otherwise prints are made for you and not returnable.
Damaged or wrong
Send a photograph. That is the whole process — a photo of the print and, if the box took a knock, of the box.
I will reprint it and send it again, or refund you, whichever you would rather. You do not pay postage either way, and in most cases I will not ask for the damaged print back. Write within 14 days of it arriving.
Made to order
Every print here is made after you order it. Nothing sits in a drawer waiting. That is why there is no general right to send one back because you have changed your mind: the print exists because you asked for it, and it cannot be sold to anyone else.
It also means the sizes are honest. Each print is made at the proportions of the painting itself, so the size you choose is the size of the paper.
Changed your mind
If the order has not gone to the printer yet, write and I will cancel it and refund you in full. Nothing is printed instantly, so there is usually a window.
Lost in the post
If a parcel has not arrived and the estimate for your part of the world has passed, write to me. I will chase it, and if it is genuinely lost I will reprint and resend it at my cost.
Give it a little longer than the estimate before worrying. International post is slower than it used to be, and customs can hold a parcel for weeks.
How a refund is made
Refunds go back through Stripe to the card or wallet that paid, because that is the only route that exists — this site cannot pay you any other way. Stripe usually takes a few working days to put it back, and your bank may take a few more.
A refund includes the shipping you paid on the original order.
Originals and commissions
None of this covers original paintings or commissions, which are not sold through the store. Those are agreed by email, one at a time, and what happens if something goes wrong is agreed with them. The commissions page describes how a commission goes, including the point at which either of us can stop.
Still stuck
Write. A print that is not right is a problem I want to know about, and it is usually a five-minute fix.
