Terms

Prices are in US dollars and include the print itself, packed and ready to post. Shipping is added at checkout at a flat rate for your part of the world; the shipping page lists every rate.

The price you see on the product page is the price charged. It is worked out again on the server from the print you chose before anything is billed, so a stale page cannot be paid at an old price. If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal point in the wrong place — I will not hold you to it; I will cancel the order and refund it in full.

Not yet written: [TO FILL IN: sales tax or VAT. Say whether any is added, and where. For example: “No sales tax is added; the price is the price.” or “Sales tax is added for orders to Washington State.” Leave the duties paragraph on the shipping page alone — that one is already accurate.]

Payment is taken by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and are never seen by this site. Which cards and wallets you are offered is up to Stripe and your country.

Some payment methods settle over a day or two rather than instantly. If yours does, the order is placed straight away and printing begins once the payment clears.

Putting prints in the cart, and even reaching the payment page, is not an order. There is a contract between us when the payment goes through and you get the confirmation email from me.

Until then either of us can walk away. After then, see the returns page.

Very occasionally I may have to refuse an order — a print I can no longer make at that size, an address I cannot ship to, or an order I think is fraudulent. If that happens you are refunded in full and told why.

If you want to change or cancel an order, write as soon as you can. Nothing is printed instantly, so if it has not gone to the printer yet I will simply cancel it and refund you.

Once a print is made it is made for you and cannot go back into stock. The returns page sets out what happens then, and what happens if it arrives damaged.

The store sells reproductions. The original paintings are not on sale through this site: there is no “buy” button for one, and no way to pay for one here.

An original is an enquiry. You write, we talk about the piece, and if it goes ahead I invoice you directly and we agree on delivery and insurance separately. Commissions work the same way, and the commissions page describes how one goes.

Nothing on a work’s page is an offer to sell it. A price shown against an available painting is a guide to what I would ask, not a contract.

Delivery estimates are estimates. They are honest ones, but they are not promises, and once a parcel is with the postal service its speed is not mine to control.

Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered, not when it is posted. If it arrives damaged, that is mine to put right.

Please do not scrape the catalogue, hotlink the images, or use anything from this site to train a model. Every image on the site is a copyrighted work; the copyright page says what you may and may not do with one.

The 3D gallery is offered as it is. It asks a lot of a browser, and on an old machine it may run badly or not at all. Everything in it is also in the ordinary catalogue.

Write to me first. Almost everything is fixable with an email, and I would much rather reprint something than argue about it.

Nothing in these terms takes away any right the law where you live gives you as a consumer.

These terms can change. The version that applies to your order is the one that was on this page when you paid; the date at the top says when it was last revised.
